That is fabuolus! It really does look like the theatre.I have to say I was a little sceptical as to how this would work when you were taking the photos (Due to the consept, not me failing to believe you could do it.) but this really does look like the shaftsbury on a wet evening.
If you've got the original photo post it so people can see just how well this came out
Kae, I think our teacher over-estimated how long this assignment would take us.... but I now have a chance to mount up and hand in the previous assignment, the portraits. I think this is my record for finishing an assignment tho, during the class it was given out in! AND I spent half the class being a classroom assistant for the dear ditzys who can't re-size an image in photoshop, and can't find a tool, can't pick a colour, can't grasp the concept of keyboard shortcuts... *sigh*
Mem, good idea, I'll upload the photo to Scraps. I know what you mean, it's a slightly strange concept. The reason I was so motivated last week in taking photos was because that was the only effective use of the technique I could envisage. Other people are doing sunny landscapes, which they're finding very tricky indeed. This works because of the high contrast levels in the picture. sunlit rolling hills don't give you that, so I'm glad I chose this subject! I might spend the next weeks doing a couple more of theatres.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

great contrast... also it's difficult to use those wood-block effects without them looking tacky, so kudos for doing such a good job.
